Applications

Type Application
1 High weight per square metre minimises movement and maximises durability. The most popular for horse stable floors. Also suitable for equestrian and cattle walkways, pedestrian applications, inclined areas.
2 The same pattern as Type 1 but thinner at 12mm. Suitable for equestrian uses including horse boxes and stables. This is a weight saver mat which is easier to handle and remove for cleaning purposes. These mats can be bolted to stable and horse box walls. We can provide fixing kits - please enquire.
3 An alternative to Type 1 with an easy-sweep pattern. Extremely durable and would suit many other applications including gymnasiums and general rubber or safety flooring which is easy to clean or rota-wash.
4 Ramp matting offers high grip for animals and pedestrians. Easy to cut and fix to your ramp. Can also be used on walls for lightweight protection. Please measure the area required.
5 Ramp matting offers superior grip especially suited to inclined walkways including trailer ramps.
6 The grass will grow through the mats allowing grass cutting as normal. For a natural looking safety area. Will prevent ground degradation and increase ground stability on grassy / muddy areas.
7 High energy absorbtion. Suitable for play areas. Made from recycled rubber with hard wearing soft green top- surface.
8 Suitable for pedestrians or animals. Useful long rolls to minimise joints. Easy and quick to lay.

The delivery price will depend on your location. Please contact us with your post code and quantity required for a delivery price quote. Don't forget that you will need to make sure that someone is available to offload the delivery vehicle.

You are welcome to collect directly from our depots - but please call us to let us know when you are coming. This will enable us to get your mats ready for collection and will avoid any waiting.

How many mats will I need?

Stable Size Mats Required
10' x 10' 5
10' x 12' 6
12' x 12' 6
12' x 14' 7
14' x 14' 9

Will they need cutting?

Usually, some of the mats need trimming because the internal stable dimensions are not always exactly 12' or 14' etc. Don't worry, the mats are fairly easy to cut using a sharp Stanley knife and a straight-edge.

3 easy steps

Step 1 Step 2 Step 3
Cutting: Step 1 Cutting: Step 2 Cutting: Step 3

Measure the required mat sizing and mark with a chalk pencil.

Line up your straight edge with the markings.

Using a new blade in your trimming knife, cut smoothly and gently with multiple passes, keeping the blade vertical.

Safety advice

  • Keep your non cutting hand up stroke and well away from the knife.
  • Grip the knife firmly and let the blade do the work.
  • Don't try to cut through the mat in one stroke.
  • Be aware of your knee and thigh.
  • You don't need soap and water as a lubricant.
  • Wear gloves and protective long sleeves.
  • Keep other people away when using your knife.
